Come meet our Shetland flock and learn about raising sheep in Alaska, handling and washing fleeces, recognizing different types of wool, carding and spinning basics, and using wool to make functional items. Sheep shearing demonstrations will be happening throughout the day and there will be a variety of local wool producers who will be selling yarn, wool products, fiber and more!

We are now scheduling Spring Life on the Farm field trips. This is our most popular field trip! It gives children the opportunity to see all of the aspects of the farm in Spring! They will visit the greenhouse and plant seeds, interact with the farm’s goats, sheep and chickens and go an exciting walk on the nature trails behind the farm. All ages welcome!
