About Calypso

Calypso Farm and Ecology Center is a non-profit, educational farm based in Ester, Alaska. We provide hands-on education to Fairbanks school children and community members through our education programs. Our diversified farm operates as a CSA to feed a number of local families through the growing season.

Our mission is to encourage local food production and environmental awareness through hands-on education in natural and farming ecosystems.

We can offer any of the given workshops for groups of five or more. Call to arrange a date and time that works for you. Workshops can be held anytime during the time frame listed for each topic.

  • The cost for 2-hour workshops is $20 for members and $35 for non-members.
  • The cost for 3-hour workshops is $30 for members and $45 for non-members.

Becoming a member of Calypso is easy. To become a member, give a donation (of any amount) to support Calypso's educational programs. You can pay the membership price at your first workshop and add on your donation at that time. We ask that you renew your membership annually. Thank You!!
